Thursday 1st May 2008.
Today there were thousands of fry hanging off the side of the spawning net in mud pond 14! All is fine with the chagoi fry.
I wish I had my camera with me, but I forgot it! Maybe tomorrow, but they may be free swimming and I will not get the same shot.
Now the expectant dad is having the same worry with the yamabuki fry. If things were running the same as with the chagoi fry, I should have been able to see a few this evening, but nothing, not a single fry!
I forgot to mention that the female canary laid her first egg on Saturday, I checked last night when she came off the nest for a feed and there were 4 eggs.
