Well I have held my announcement with regard to my visitor of a couple of week ago long enough !
On Monday 31st March I shall have a new member of staff.
When Tom left I had not planned on replacing him. Working on a koi farm is not rocket science, I can give instruction and hopefully the with a little guidance the tasks can be carried out. But the most important thing is, you have to have a passion for koi, it is not just a job.
That is the reason I decided I would try and run the farm on my own. It would be no use me heading off down the Job Centre and telling them I needed an employee as that is what I would get, just someone looking for work with the only goal being a wage at the end of the week.
So there I was, on my own, wondering how I would manage through the busy summer when I was contacted by someone with an obvious passion for koi and what I am doing.
Although there will not be very much time to settle in before the open weekend, 5 days after starting, Cassie will be thrown in at the deep end!
But I'm sure you will all make her more than welcome.
