Thursday 13th March 2008.
I never like '13ths', but today was much kinder, I woke this morning and could hear the wood pigeons outside, their calls have been missing for the last few days. The wind has dropped and things feel a little settled, I'm hoping the winds have gone and are not returning.
At least one baby Zebra finch is alive, as I saw it peeping out of it's nest box this morning. It is fully feathered and looks ready to leave the nest, although with the weather of late, I'd stay inside as long as I could!
I've been given a number of a company who erect polytunnels, they are subcontractors to polytunnel manufactures and going direct could save some money. I gave them a ring and yes, a better deal was to be had! But I'll still have to wait a few weeks before they can fit me in and that will depend on the weather also.
