Tom carried on working in the mud ponds. At this time of year, I find it a little frustrating as the mud ponds are empty and so say drying out ready to rework the bottoms with the rotovator. Although they do not get any rain on them being inside, they also get no wind so drying is very slow. The start of my season is governed by sunshine and there is little of that at the moment. That coupled with lots of rain, means the water table is high and this is keeping the bottoms of the mud ponds wetter than I would like.

I spent much of the day trying to sort the new water feed tank outside. Because of the huge amount of rain we have had, the tank has popped out of the ground like a cork!
