return to blog calendar

Tom finally returned, but informs me that he has to return to Poland to run the family business as his parents are retiring. It is a shame and I'll miss him, I trained him up over the last 18 months to be able to run the farm and hoped he'd stay forever. From the end of the month, I'll be back on my own!

He took over the filter cleaning, which is his normal first job of the day and then spent the rest of the day in one of the mud ponds leveling the bottom a little.

At the start of the year, we get the bottoms as flat as we can, but during the season, as the fry grow, it is surprising how they make a hollow along the liner edge where they swim back and forth.

Today I had conformation that one of my trade customers will be taking at least 5,400 koi in March. 5,000 garden centre grade and 400 of a better quality.

If any other Koi outlets are interested in purchasing some of my koi, please e-mail or phone me, I still have plenty.
