Well it is lucky the Open Weekend is a while away, as yesterday afternoon and today the main farm (Gobbles) has been 'muck' spreading on the fields, although to me it looks like most is on the track and it will take a while to clean up!
The access to the farm has never been good, but most of the open season it is not too bad and reasonably clean compared to winter time. Few worry about the track and take it in as part of the 'experience'. I'd love it to be better, but improvements would cost a small fortune, as we are talking 3/4 mile.
If the rain stays away for a while longer, the water table will start to drop and I may start to see some drying in the mud ponds. Nothing much so far though.
