The weather has cooled a good deal and the mud pond temperature is dropping, this is giving me a little concern, as it could affect the hatching of the koi. Today I have stopped the new water going in, as this is far cooler, being drawn from the outside pond.
At normal summer temperatures, the fry would be hatched by now, I hope they are alright!
We had 60 large nisai go out today to a trade customer, they were collected just after lunch and we had them ready in two vats and loading went like clockwork.
Trade sales have really taken off this year, more enquiries are coming in on a regular basis.
