Heavy rain early this morning, but by 9.00am the sun was shining again. Nice and warm!

On arriving at the farm I walked down the tunnels and found I had a problem, mud pond 7 and 8 had a good amount of water in them. When I left the farm yesterday they were both dry and I was working in pond 8 with the digger. This morning the digger was an island in a lake, surrounded by water!

On entering the plant room it soon became obvious what the problem was, new processed water was entering the holding tank, but the pump which sends it onto the mud ponds was not working. Last evening while installing the new 'toilet' pump, I put the watering system on for the grass, when I had finished I went to shut up and realised that the watering system was still on, so I hit the rocker switch to off and as I removed my finger it went back to on, I flicked it back, shut the door and went home. The surge of 'on off on' was enough to throw the MCB in the control panel and it let one section without power. Wish I was not in so much of a hurry to head home, but it was 8pm!

I pumped out both ponds, the drying will have to start over, but I will not need them for a few weeks.

Just after midday Clint from The Nottingham Koi Company arrived, he'd not been to the farm before but has followed my progress for along time. He came for some chagoi, but also went away with some nice shiro utsuri and yamabuki ogon. Later on looking around he fell in love with one of my nisai kohaku and it seems now is regretting not taking it home with him.

Just to rub salt into his wound, this is the one!
