Friday 4th April 2008.
With the marquee up, the day was spent finishing putting up the vats and filling them along with other preparation. Stuart was with us for the day and proved to be a great help, that's surprising for a member of the local constabulary! He laid out the cables and pipes for running the the air and water changing. We moved one of the large kiddies swimming pools and set it up behind the marquee. This pool was filled with fresh water for the weekend, it should be enough for the whole weekend.
Late on in the afternoon, Mark, Sue and Bekki Chetter arrived and between us we moved the small koi which will be for sale. These were placed in vats according to their value. By the end of the afternoon/evening all of the koi which were to be on sale in the vats were outside. I was happy with this, as they were moved out in their slightly warmer water and allowed to cool overnight. If I had to put them out in the morning, they would have to go into cooler water.
We left the farm around 7.30pm and on arrival at home I fired up the laptop and printer. I even ate my dinner while operating the printer, it ran red hot until 12.40am and I headed to bed.
